Named for the "deadliest animal on the planet," the Pistol Shrimp collegiate wood bat baseball team will compete in the 12-team Prospect League, which has teams around the Midwest and East. This highly competitive amateur league offers college players (from San Jose State to Grambling State to Creighton) a shot at stardom.

Playing a 60-game season starting May 30 and running through mid-August, the Pistol Shrimp team makes its home at the baseball complex at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.
