In the heart of DuPage County, the scenic Village of Glen Ellyn is a prosperous, civic-minded community with much to offer by way of shopping, dining, the arts and entertainment. The village is just 23 miles west of Chicago, which is easily accessible from Glen Ellyn's downtown Metra station, and is convenient to major highways and airports.

Just off I-355 on Roosevelt Road, the Crowne Plaza Lombard Downers Grove features 119 upscale guest rooms and suites, meeting and banquet space, an indoor pool, fitness center and more.
The Inn at Water's Edge is an elegant boutique hotel that offers a unique guest experience on the College of DuPage campus.
Dining
Glen Ellyn's historic downtown offers a variety of dining choices from casual to gourmet, including American, Irish, Italian, Mexican and Thai food. Glen Prairie, adjacent to the Crowne Plaza, features fine dining with bold, natural and locally grown ingredients. Reserve 22 and Marche' are also favorites among residents and visitors.
Shopping
Historic Downtown Glen Ellyn is filled with locally-owned shops like Marcel's Culinary Experience. It is a pedestrian friendly area where a number of family-friendly events are held throughout the year. Farther south, Roosevelt Road is bursting with nationally recognized stores, restaurants and commerce.
The village is convenient to Oakbrook Center, Yorktown Center and Stratford Square Mall. It is also a short drive or Metra commuter train ride from Chicago's shopping district.
Attractions
The Glen Art Theatre, built in the 1920s in Downtown Glen Ellyn, shows first run movies on four screens.
The McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage (The MAC) is home to several resident professional ensembles, student productions and world-class touring attractions, plus the Gahlberg Gallery for visual arts.
The Glen Ellyn Park District maintains an outdoor aquatic facility, four recreation buildings, 23 multipurpose parks and playgrounds, and two lakes. Highlights of the 88,000 square foot Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center include an indoor turf field, 3 basketball courts, rock-climbing, batting cages, fitness center and a multi-lane elevated running track.
Village Links Golf Club boasts an 18-hole championship course that has hosted over 40 USGA and PGA Tour qualifying events, plus a regulation length 9-hole course, practice facilities, and a clubhouse with dining and banquet rooms.
Nature lovers will enjoy Willowbrook Wildlife Center, with over 80 native Illinois animals and open to the public 7 days a week. Hikers, bikers and joggers can hop onto the Illinois Prairie Path in Downtown Glen Ellyn.
