Conveniently located just 16 miles west of Chicago's loop, this vibrant, tree-lined community offers thriving retail shops, fine dining, outstanding theatre and art, excellent museums, and a variety of events during the year. Elmhurst has its own Metra commuter rail station and is convenient to both O’Hare and Midway Airports, as well as major highways.
Ride the Explore Elmhurst Trolley that runs starting in May and throughout the summer and holidays. The trolley is available while Elmhurst celebrates Museum Day at its own Museum Campus. Make an art project at the Elmhurst Art Museum, or enjoy the Elmhurst Historical Museum.

Elmhurst is also convenient to Oakbrook Center and offers an easy 20-minute commute by car or commuter train to downtown Chicago shopping.
